Central Park’s Transformed North End
Explore two recently completed developments at the north end of Central Park—the Conservatory Garden, and the green roof of the Davis Center. The program will be led by senior Central Park Conservancy staff involved in the design and implementation of each project. It will start at the Conservatory Garden, where guests will learn about the fully comprehensive restoration, including fountain modernization and the restoration of historic ornamental ironwork. The group will then walk to the Davis Center to hear about the transformation of the pool and rink at the Harlem Meer into a site of expanded scenic landscapes and nature-based—as well as active—recreation.
The program will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. – Tour of all three Conservatory gardens
11:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. – Group walks to the Davis Center
