About
A vintage brick Chevy Chase Colonial located along Rock Creek Parkway without a garden nor much usable outdoor space— let alone a colonnaded entrance porch— was re-envisioned by designer Todd Schwebel with new period-style Classical architectural elements along with a series of formal gardens inspired by Dumbarton Oaks.
Multiple levels of gardens, terraces and porches, a pergola, and water features all center on a grand formal lawn or “pelouse.”
Mature specimen landscape material sourced from all over the country achieved immediate impact upon installation. A new “historic” garden was born!
