About

The gardens of Parker Jennings and Chuck Prillaman represent the pinnacle of this couple’s horticultural efforts. Guests arrive on a long drive that winds through a grove of tulip poplar trees with hundreds of hellebores and primula at their base.

Garden highlights include a formal patio garden bordered with a colonnade, camellias and an elegant fountain; a magnificent kitchen/potager garden with splendid, espaliered apple trees, box hedges, topiaries and a charming hen house; a lovely inground swimming pool surrounded camellias and other evergreen shrubs; a sinuous path leading to a large pond edged in stone where frogs, goldfish, and other amphibians make their home. Charming statuary placed artfully in the garden space add whimsy.

This garden’s estimated size is 6-1/2 acres.
